Vinho Verde - Alvarinho

Alvarinho Trajadura Messala wine is produced in the sub-region of Monção blending the grape varieties Alvarinho (80%) and Trajadura (20%). The exceptional location of the vineyards, with an average age exceeding 15 years, the combination of natural factors, such as soil and climate, and the privileged knowledge of a generation of winemakers are the reasons behind the production of a white wine of remarkable and distinctive quality.

Production technology: The harvest is done manually into boxes of 15 kg immediately transported to the winery. After total destemming and pneumatic pressing, fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature of 16 º C.

Taste: Clear citric colour. Very soft and fruity, good structure and long finish.

Winemaker: João Garrido

Suggestion: It should be consumed fresh, between 10-12°C (50 - 53,6ºF). Excellent to be served with fish and seafood.





Alvarinho 100%messala Alvarinho

The Alvarinho Messala wine is exclusively produced with the white grape variety Alvarinho, the noblest grape variety of the Portuguese Demarcated Region of Vinhos Verdes (young wines also known as “green” wines). Alvarinho Messala stands out from other young wines due to its characteristic taste, flavour and its full body, which combined with high alcohol levels and good ageing ability, show the remarkable quality of Alvarinho grapes.

Production Technology: Handmade harvest using plastic boxes with 20kg of capacity. After totally destemming grapes from the stalks, fermentation occurs in stainless wine vats at a controlled temperature. There, it ages for 3 months and then for 3 more months in the bottle.

Taste: Lemony bright colour.Intense fruity and floral aroma with grapefruit notes. Soft, dry and fruity, with Alvarinho grapes persisting.

Winemaker: João Garrido

Suggestion: Consume chilled, at a temperature between 10-12ºC (50 - 53,6ºF). Perfect to go with fish, seafood and cheese.
